Pictures of Stage II

Dear Dharma Brothers and Sisters,

The Board of Directors of the Tibetan Meditation Center is excited to announce new developments in our goal to build a Retreat Center for practitioners in the West. Inspired by Khenchen Rinpoche's dedication to the Dharma, in 1998 we purchased over 35 acres of beautiful mountain land adjacent to the meditation center. With the generous help of supporters around the world, the mortgage on this land was paid in full, completing Stage I of the Retreat Center project.
We are now beginning Stage II of this important project--the building of a house for Khenchen Rinpoche and other lamas. This residence will provide Rinpoche with a suitable place to continue his important work of translating sacred Tibetan texts into English. It will also accommodate resident lamas, retreat masters, visiting teachers and dignitaries.
We encourage you to join us in making Khenchen Rinpoche's vision a reality. The building of a retreat center is an important step in establishing the Dharma in the West. It will provide future generations the opportunity to study and practice. By supporting this project, we can practice the Paramita of generosity, which, in turn, will further our progress on the path toward the goal of bodhicitta, and the liberation of all sentient beings from the suffering of Samsara.

Khenchen Rinpoche

Your commitment to help build the new Lamas' residence and Retreat Center is a way we will honor Khenchen Rinpoche's twenty years of dedication in transmitting the Dharma to students in the West, and express our gratitude for having received these precious teachings. Khenchen Rinpoche has tirelessly worked to guide us in our practice of the Dharma, and to show us its benefits through his living example. He has shared these teachings with literally thousands of students, translated many sadhanas for our daily practices, counseled and comforted countless individuals. Khenchen Rinpoche has guided us on the path to Enlightenment! Please join us in showing our heartfelt appreciation by creating a lasting legacy for his work, and nurturing the roots of the Dharma so that it may spread and benefit others.
In addition to raising money for daily operating expenses and supporting a retreat master and resident lamas, we would like to pay off the mortgage on the additional land and complete the first phase of construction in TWO YEARS. Our goal is to find individuals or groups who will commit to either a ONE TIME donation or a MONTHLY PLEDGE. We will meet our goal of raising $300,000 IF:
100 people pledge $125 a month for 2 years OR
200 people pledge $ 62.50 a month for 2years OR
400 people pledge $31.25 a month for 2 years OR
800 people pledge $15.60 a month for 2 years

We hope you will join us in this in this virtuous endeavor. May we create the causes and conditions for all beings to be free from the suffering of Samsara! May all beings benefit from our Dharma activities.
